Since we are CYSC, many details remain the same:
Who: Any player age 3+ and families
What: Building a passion for the Beautiful Game through (and as) a Community
When: March 20 thru May 20 (Weekly camp schedule outlined in the link above)
Where: Capitolo Playground, 9th/Federal
How: $30/player. And through the efforts of our amazing volunteer base.
Why: Honestly,... mostly for the juice boxes...
Since we are in the Spring, a few changes/notes:
1. It is HIGHLY recommended that you delete/redownload the XPLOR app. Right now! Please make sure you are functioning correctly before tomorrow.
2. It is also HIGHLY recommended that you familiarize yourself with the registration process above - it is different (easier!) than last year ;)
3. Remember: you roster your player based on age AS OF 9/1/2022. This is similar to the school district - you don't come back from winter break and move up a grade because you had a birthday. No, you move up in the Fall as a group!) Following...
3b. Returning players: you're in the SAME CAMP as F'22 - (confirm: XPLOR -> Player acct -> Schedule -> Reservations -> Past -> scroll down to November)
4. Peewee Options: PW1 & PW2 will be offered on Mondays AND Tuesdays! You can pick 1 (no, not both!?) at registration.
4b. Young Tykes: NEW in the Spring... open to newly eligible players (ie, those who've turned 3 since 9/1/22).
5. This season a twist: Registration (tomorrow) is preceding our Volunteer Organization Meetings (likely Sat 3/11). Coach Graham, whaaaaat? The new process is thus: please register your child (including to a waitlist so we can gauge interest). Following, there will be a mandatory preseason meeting for all families registered to each camp at which we will source the muscle to make that camp function (or adjust rosters, as necessary). Please know that we have NEVER turned away players (even from a waitlist) and we don't intend to do so this year. BUT!... I expect nearly 300 kids and we can no longer move forward with a volunteer base suited to 200 kids. Makes sense, right? Meeting details/volunteer needs will be coordinated once I see roster size/interest levels.
